Excalibur uses a Behavior Based Safety (BBS) process that focuses attention on the employee’s safety behaviors. Our BBS program holds safety as a value and encourages our employees to actively care for themselves and others. Peer to peer safety observations are completed and shared between crew members while management utilizes the data collected to proactively focus on what tendencies and trends need to be addressed to create an accident free workplace.

Excalibur’s Heath, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team are certified instructors for many of the programs Excalibur utilizes to improve the well being of our employees at work and at home. Our safety team creates, develops, and presents additional safety training to all employees.

The HSE department utilizes monthly safety meetings, near miss reports and safety alerts to openly communicate safety related issues. We host an annual safety meeting that refreshes our core practices and programs to maintain a total safety culture.
